I met you in the spring
They began to bloom
I saw you in April
And the wind pushed them aside
I spoke to you in June
One day warm and bright
I befriended you at night
The next dark and dim
I laughed with you during the winter
I met you in April
I drifted away in September
With bloom in my mind
I made you cry at day
Hoping to talk to you
I left you at dawn and met you at dusk
But at dawn, you always left me
We lasted a decade but finished in a second
Made me weep to the moon, you
I never saw the stars in your eyes
Even without the attention
Until the sun shined them within you
You still blinded my eyes
I never felt your mark until you left it to bleed
I met you in September
I wanted to tell you so many things, but you never stopped talking
I met you in the spring
I left you in winter
And met you again in September
