horizon and the stars

by Juliana N., 13

Sometimes I like to look out the window and watch the sun set above the ocean. I see the birds fly and the palm trees sway in the breeze.

Every day, the horizon never fails to amaze me. Some days the colors shift from an orange, to pinkish red, to purple, and always the colors settle on nighttime blue.

Then all of the stars are visible. The white orbs dance above your head in the moonlight. They watch and look over you even when you aren’t watching them. They connect in constellations that draw out a picture in the solar system. You can wish upon a star for good luck.

When the moon settles, the sun rises from beyond to send a good morning. With the day time brings endless opportunities for adventure, so take advantage of that opportunity whenever you can, before the sun sets and before the moon greets you again.
