Blue, the color of the sadness
You chose to ignore
Violet, the color of her pain
She felt forced to endure
Red, the color of her anger
Swelling up inside
Gray, the color of the hope
Draining from her mind
Black, the color of your regret
Because it all became too much
And never having felt your love,
She slipped out of your clutch.
The outside of someone’s mind
Is very different than inside
If you’d looked you’d have heard her screaming
But all you listen for is
“I’m fine.”
