The stained glass gleams of shining unshed tears
by daybreak cast of temperate sunlight’s glow,
so solemn with the portrayals it shows,
depicts a scene in glory to revere.
I fondly observe those rendered affairs,
perfectly etched and flawless figures though
cut and colored and shaped eons, ages ago
still undamaged by time to persevere.
Reminds me of my scrupulous neighbors,
who are maintenance of the highest order
constantly avoiding time’s wear and tear
for it is to be fallible they fear.
Many dark and unknown secrets they must hold,
but hard to tell with their stained glass blindfold.
